The Inn consists of two main houses, the Gallant House - built in 1880 by one of the area's most successful merchants, Joseph Gallant - and the MacDonald House, a newer facility offering four large suites that bring a modern feel to a historic era. These two houses provide our guests with the choice of eight different styles of private accommodations from traditional Victorian rooms to luxury suites, with scenic vistas over the Island's north shore, winding waterways and our Victorian Garden.
For guests requiring accessibility, Suite 6, as well as the entrance to MacDonald House,
was designed and built with accessibility in mind, with direct access from our parking lot to entrance ramp.

The Historic Gallant House whispers of an elegant era gone past; the simpler and yet beautiful era of Prince Edward Island's rich history is reflected in every detail. The host home to the main facilities that the Barachois Inn offers, our Gallant House hosts a lovely main dining area where guests congregate for breakfast, delightful parlours and four Victorian style suites. All accommodations in the Gallant House are located on the second and third floors, offering a breathtaking panoramic vista of the Island's famed North Shore and it's winding waterways for our guests.
