Directions From Wood Island Ferry to the Barachois Inn
*Approximate total driving time from Woods Island Ferry terminal to the Barachois Inn in Rustico is 1 hour and 40 minutes.(maximum)*
After disembarking from the ferry you will automatically be on Rte# 1, the Trans Canada Highway. Head west towards Charlottetown. (40 minutes)
Upon crossing the Hillsborough Bridge on the outskirts of the city of Charlottetown, you will turn right remaining on Rte# 1 otherwise known as Riverside Drive.
At the intersection of Rte#1 and Rte#15, turn right onto Rte#15 otherwise known as the Brackley Point Road. You should now be heading north on #15. The Charlottetown Airport is a good landmark to look for!
Follow Rte# 15 for approximately 15 minutes until you enter the community of Brackley Beach. At this community you will turn left onto Rte# 6 off of Rte# 15. A large white lighthouse will be at the corner of this intersection. Another good landmark to look for!
Keep on Rte# 6, otherwise known as the Rustico Road, by turning to your right at the Oyster Bed Bridge four-way intersection.
By staying on Rte# 6, you will now be entering the community of Rustico. When you see a store/gas station by the name of Gallant’s on your left, you will be at another four-way intersection. Please turn to the right at this intersection onto Rte# 243 or otherwise known as the Church Road. We are located at the top of the hill directly across from the St. Augustine Church.
